Teheca, an app that connects new and expecting mothers to nurses for in home checkup, has come out tops at Seedstars Kampala in Uganda.

Teheca was placed first at the pitch which was held at Kololo Independence Ground on Friday (18 October) in Uganda’s capital.

The startup — which was founded in 2016 by Ruyonga Daniel (who is the CEO) and Asha Namugambe (who is COO) (pictured above, left and right respectively) — will now represent Mauritius at the Seedstars Africa Summit in December.

The startup was part of Google Launchpad Africa’s first cohort, held last year (see this story).
