Tunisian esports platform Seemba has been named the winner of this year’s Seedstars Tunis pitching event.
Seemba helps developers monetise their games through an innovative application programming interface (API) which enables them to add an esport feature, generate a new revenue stream, increase customer attraction, loyalty as well as retention.

The startup — which was founded by Slim Ben Nasrarallah (who is the CEO), Geoffrey Umer, Jacer Omri and Stephane Cosse — will now represent Tunisia at the Seedstars Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regional summit in Casablanca this December.
Seemba’s win comes days after the startup announced it had raised $200 000 in seed funding
Seemba was one of nine Tunisian startups selected by Seedstars World to pitch at the event which was held on Monday (7 October) at RedStart Tunisie (see this story).
The Monastir-based startup was founded in 2017 by Jean-Philippe Nitkowski, Jihed Bibani and Mohamed Ben Hadj Aissa.
The win comes days after the startup announced in a blog post on its website last week that it had raised $200 000 in seed funding. One of the investors in the round, Seemba pointed out, was the Oman Technology Fund (OTF) which contributed $100 000.
Last month, the Flat6Labs Tunis alumnus was listed in an article by tech publication EU-Startups as one of 10 gaming startups to look out for in 2019 and beyond.
