Digital Renter CEO and founder Fongoh Tayong (pictured above, far right) said in a statement on Saturday (12 October) that he’d been running the startup for more than two years.

Tayong said he has interacted with multiple stakeholders that have given Digital Renter deep market or field insight to validate its model of a totally inclusive, social and multi-agent system which works for the real-estate market in Africa.

The Seedstars Douala pitching event, which was held last Friday (11 October), featured a total of 11 startups (see this story).

Clinicplant, a web and mobile application that diagnoses crop and animal diseases from an image was placed second.

Vehseh, a management system that enables retail managers or owners to monitor sales remotely in real-time, was placed third.

A panel comprised of Appstech founder Rebecca Enonchong (pictured above, second from left), ST Digital founder and CEO Anthony Same, Heubo deputy general manager financial capital Willy Delort and Microsoft director of public policy Serge Ntamack picked the winners.

Continuing on its world tour of fast-growing startup scenes in emerging markets, Seedstars World’s next stop is Port Louis on Thursday 17 (October) to select the best startup in Mauritius.
